images/stories/closing5.jpgVice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as the ruler of Dubai, issued Law No. 11 Year 2009, pertaining to the Dubai Sports Council.

The law defines the prerogatives and duties of Dubai Sports Council as an authority in developing the sports activities and promoting the sports institutions in the emirate. 

Dubai Sports Council (DSC) was founded in Nov. 30th 2005 as per a decree issued by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. 
The law specified the objectives of the DSC and its mandates. 

Sheikh Mohammed also issued a decree forming the board of directors of the DSC for the next four years under the chairmanship of Dubai crown prince HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum
